How this district’s newsletter went from bust to boom

Posted by Annelise Spargo | June 9, 2022

We’ve heard from a lot of districts that using email to better communicate with the community is a priority, but they just don’t know where to get started. How do you find email addresses and what do you include in the email?

So we talked to one of the best, Stephanie Arevalo-Rodriguez, the Business Operations Manager at Peninsula Healthcare District. When she took over communications, the district was still sending newsletters by paper mail and had only 50 email addresses in its system. Now, they have 2,000 subscribers, and an average email open rate of 47% - talk about impressive!

Whether your district is just getting started with email, or you want to brush up on some best practices, take a look at the Learn From the Best: Enhancing Email interview series.
