Platte Canyon Fire Protection District (PCFPD) has safeguarded its rural Colorado communities for over 80 years, delivering reliable fire protection, public education, and facility rentals to residents and local organizations. When Sommer Eichelberger joined as Website Administrator in January 2024, she inherited a site that needed to uphold strict ADA accessibility standards, support transparency requirements, and accommodate classroom and HOA event bookings—yet the district’s lean staff had limited time and technical expertise.

Accelerating Accessibility & Mitigating Legal Risk

Rather than wrestling with piecemeal fixes, PCFPD adopted Streamline’s real-time compliance dashboard and built-in PDF Scanner to pinpoint and resolve accessibility gaps. Within days, Sommer could see exactly which images lacked descriptive alt text, which documents needed tagging, and where navigational elements fell short of WCAG guidelines.
