Special Districts are a little-known but essential part of public infrastructure and democracy. More than 38,000 fire districts, irrigation districts, community service districts, etc. span the country. Yet 40% of them don’t have a website—despite being supported by public fees and taxes. Streamline exists to serve and empower them with SaaS tools, thought leadership, and compliance with new laws and digital requirements. About the Role

Because special district leadership and staff have historically been hard to find and reach, yet are well-served and loyal once they’re customers, good marketing is essential. Streamline is looking for an experienced marketing leader with passion for both strategy and implementation. Driven by insight and wielding a fearless approach to iteration, the ideal candidate will help us establish repeatable and scalable strategies through effective thought leadership and marketing operational excellence. Demand generation is the primary focus, augmented by industry event marketing and other channels that help us add value to this community. This role is ideal for a systematic, empathetic, and confident professional—someone eager to develop the Streamline standard for fast growth and join a team of intelligent, inspired, and even silly individuals.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Own Streamline’s creative and strategic leadership; maintaining a balance of creativity and results-driven strategy

  • Define marketing engagement strategies to enrich the customer journey while leading the execution of an experimental approach to new marketing initiatives

  • Own entire acquisition strategy and marketing budgets across digital channels, social, events, and partnerships, to drive business opportunity for sales

  • Identify and deliver key marketing metrics to prioritize in quarterly leadership planning (ie lead creation, cost per acquisition, etc.)

  • Collaborate internally on customer marketing efforts to effectively showcase the compounding benefits of our various tools

  • Work with our internal and external resources to develop an ongoing pipeline of content to inform, inspire, and empower our community.

  • Quickly develop a thorough understanding and empathy towards our niche market, and use this knowledge to further develop our presence as a thought leader and advocate for our community.

  • Prioritize and pursue new market opportunities using data driven insights enforced by results. Use this market knowledge to inform recommendations to our product team and help us shape a powerful product roadmap.

  • Lead efforts on website conversion optimization, leveraging our blog and social accounts to reach our target audience and provide marketing attribution insights.

  • Maintain an organized and growing list of leads in our CRM (Hubspot), and activate segmented marketing programs to ensure we can reach specific audiences with relevant content.

  • Own the marketing operations pipeline and define the ideal journey for customer conversion. Deploy and manage marketing automation programs where appropriate.

  • Use ongoing testing and data analysis to quickly test, learn, and iterate on findings. Identify macro trends in pipeline development and health, to stabilize pipeline progression and revenue predictability.

 

What we’re looking for

  • You have 5+ years in similar roles, preferably for a SaaS company.

  • Track record for developing high impact marketing campaigns with measured results, and ability to understand and develop effective customer journeys.

  • You have a high level of attention to detail, and accuracy matters to you. 

  • You are empathetic and have a real desire to understand the needs of our community.

  • You have good taste: you know what excellence looks like and can ensure we achieve it across all external communications.

  • You are driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic, have a “can do” attitude and a results-driven mentality with a bias for speed and action (while not missing the details!)

  • You’re just as happy getting your hands dirty in marketing systems and data work as you are building out high-level strategies and effective project management.

  • You have good instincts but even better ability to validate ideas with data and decipher strategic trends. Proficiency with BI/ reporting tools are a plus

  • You are creative and confident with your abilities, and value being a part of a collaborative, fun, and scrappy team making a big difference in our markets.

    • Advertising (Social, SEO, etc.) and Social Media Management
