SB 929: January 2020 website posting requirements for California special districts

A bill that requires all independent special districts in California to maintain a website was signed into law by Governor Brown in September 2018, and gives districts until January 2020 to comply. State Sen. Mike McGuire’s SB 929 – the Special Districts Transparency Act – requires every independent special district in California to create and consistently maintain a website with specific and detailed information including meeting agendas, clear information on the district’s budget and expenditures, compensation reports, information on how to contact representatives of the district and more.

Join our free webinar to learn how to comply easily, without spending your entire technology budget. We’ll also share information about discounts and scholarships available, and attendees will leave with handy checklists to help with compliance.
