Public Records Act Webinar: Learn about new requirements for all local government agencies

Join us to learn more about the free SB 272 System Catalog compliance tool we've built to help local government agencies comply with new Public Records Act requirements. Compliance is required by July 1, 2016.

Unlike the PRA you're used to, this new law requires you to actively publish a catalog of all the "enterprise" (think: computer) systems that you use that contain information about the public. The law is a bit fuzzy, and this webinar will help clarify some of the requirements to make it easier for you to comply.

We'll go through the bill text, talk about the intention of the law, and give tips on how to quickly determine what systems need to be included in your Enterprise System Catalog. We'll also give a demonstration of our free compliance tool (which is available to any agency that has to comply with this new unfunded mandate, at no charge), and answer your questions.

We will also briefly touch on AB 2257, currently in the Senate, which will require all local government agencies to post their most current agenda directly on their home page.
